Tajik Aluminum Company (TALCO) and Uzbekistan’s Krantas Ltd have launched a joint venture TALCO-Krantas that will assemble trucks in the Tajik capital.
“Until the end of this year, the enterprise is planned to assemble more than 100 trucks for TALCO subsidiaries TALCO Resource and TALCO Gold, which operate in mining industry” Igor Sattarov, a spokesman for TALCO told Asia-Plus in an interview.
Besides, TALCO is also planned to assemble 30 excavators this year with the participation of China’s Sinomach, TALCO spokesman added.
Krantas Ltd is Uzbekistan’s largest plant specializing on manufacturing special machines for different sectors of industry and construction sector.
China National Machinery Industry Corporation, also known as Sinomach, is a Chinese conglomerate with businesses in tool making, construction equipment, agricultural equipment, and infrastructure construction. In two particular areas of construction engineering, the company is among the top in terms of revenue from international projects. Based on 2013 rankings compiled by the Engineering News-Record, the company is the third largest contractor of power projects and 8th largest contractor of industrial projects.
