Four Tajiks have been detained in St. Petersburg for an attempt to rob Chinese national. 

Fontanka reports that four members of a criminal group – all of them are natives of Tajikistan, aged 29 to 32 – have been detained in St. Petersburg’s Vasilyevsky Ostrov (Vasilyevsky Island) district on suspicion of being involved in robberies. .

They were reportedly caught red-handed while attacking a 29-year-old tourist from China.

Fergana.news says the criminal were detained by police officers who were aware of movements of members of the criminal group.   

Criminal proceedings have been instituted against them under the provisions of Article 162 of Russia’s Penal Code – robbery; an investigation is under way.
