DUSHANBE, July 20, Asia-Plus — Cultural activities to celebrate a Language Day, which is marked in Tajikistan on July 22, will be organized in Dushanbe tomorrow. 

According to the Ministry of Culture (MoC), a festive concert with participation of known Tajik singers will be held at Amphitheatre in Dushanbe Saturday evening. 

The source at a MoC said that President Emomali Rahmon is expected to attend the event.

“Artistes from Republican Philharmonic Society as well as dancing groups Lola, Gulrez and Zebo will take par in the concert,” the source said.   

Besides, an exhibition of books dedicated to the Tajik language will open at the City Lohouti Library in Dushanbe tomorrow.  

Tajikistan has marked the Language Day since 1989, when the Tajik language was given a status of state language.
