The customs agencies of Tajikistan and Uzbekistan will exchange the preliminary information on commodities and vehicles moving across the mutual border.
A relevant protocol on this subject has been signed by the Customs Service under the Government of Tajikistan and the State Customs Committee of Uzbekistan.
According to the Customs Service of Tajikistan, the document aims to raise the efficiency of the customs control of commodities and vehicles moving across the border and create favorable conditions for the bilateral trade between the two countries.
The received information is reportedly confidential and can be used only for customs purposes.

Over the past three years, a two-way trade between Tajikistan and Uzbekistan has grown fast.
Over the first ten months of this year, the bilateral between Tajikistan and Uzbekistan has valued at nearly 295 million USD, which was 23 percent more than in the same period last year.
