Current tax debts in Khatlon province amount to 173 million somoni, which is 9 million somoni fewer compared to the beginning of the year, an official source within the Khatlon tax inspectorate told Asia-Plus in an interview. 

According to him, large tax debts have been reported in the city of Kulob – 19.3 million somoni, Vakhsh district – 12.5 million somoni, Kushoniyon district – 20.2 million somoni and Farkhor district – 10 million somoni.  

“In the cross-sectoral section the proportions of tax debts were: agrarian sector — 23.2 percent (40.4 million somoni) of a total volume of tax debts; and industry – 8.2 percent (14.3 million somoni),” the source said.  

“Over the first ten months of this year, the budget revenues were 99.2 percent (1.2 billion somoni) achieved,” he noted.  

Meanwhile, 13 cities and district, namely Bokhtar, Levakant, Kushoniyon, Vakhsh, Khuroson, Qubodiyon, Jomi, Panj, Shahritous, Yovon, Hamadoni and Farkhor, have failed to fulfill their tax collection targets, the source added.
