The Civil Aviation of Tajikistan and the Russian Embassy in Dushanbe say the air traffic between Tajikistan has not yet been restored and it will remain closed until the coronavirus situation is stabilized.

Recall, some Russian air carriers have begun selling air tickets for flights from Moscow to Dushanbe on their official websites.

“The information about restoration of the air traffic between Tajikistan and Russia does not correspond to the facts.  The air traffic between Tajikistan and the Russian Federation will be restored only after stabilization of the COVID-19 situation and official announcement by authorized government agencies,” says a statement released by the Civil Aviation Agency under the Government of Tajikistan.

In this connection, the Civil Aviation Agency asked citizens of Tajikistan not to believe that false information and not to buy air tickets until an official announcement on restoration of the air traffic between the two countries is made.

The Russian Embassy in Dushanbe also notes that the air traffic between Russia and Tajikistan was suspended on March 27 due to the coronavirus crisis and does not recommend the purchase of air tickets until the official announcement on the restoration of the air traffic is made.
