A government-to-government agreement between Tajikistan and France on organization of regular flights between their capitals has been sent for ratification to Tajikistan’s lower chamber (Majlisi Namoyandagon) of parliament (Majlisi Oli).

The agreement was signed during Tajik president’s visit to France that took place in November last year.

Recall, the visit resulted in signing of eleven cooperation documents, including the agreement between the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan and the Government of the French Republic on air service.

The agreement, in particular, provides for organizing refresher course for Tajik pilots at the French Civil Aviation Academy in Toulouse, Muhammadato Sultonov, a spokesman for the Majlisi Namoyandagon, told Asia-Plus in an interview.

Besides, French specialists will organize training courses for Tajik aviators in Dushanbe, Sultonov added.

Tajik parliamentarians are expected to vote for ratification of the air service agreement between Tajikistan and France.

Currently, you can fly from Dushanbe to Paris in transit through other countries, including European nations to which flights from Tajikistan are operated on regular air lines.
