For 8 months of 2020, Tajikistan increased the export of agricultural products by 45.4% compared to the same period last year. This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic.

As of August 31, 2020, Tajikistan exported about 108 thousand tons of agricultural products worth more than $ 14.7 million, which is $ 4.6 million more than in the reporting period last year.

The supply of onions abroad increased by 84.5 thousand tons (this is 148.1% of last year's volume), grapes by 2 thousand tons (124.3%), dried fruits by 13.5 thousand tons (121.1%), fruit (by 2%).

Part of the harvest of fruits and melons was sold in the markets of Russia, Kazakhstan, China and the European Union.

The Ministry of Transport of the country emphasized that the transportation of agricultural products by rail from Tajikistan abroad is carried out at new preferential tariffs, and entrepreneurs are provided with special transport.
