Wage arrears in Tajikistan grew by $ 437 thousand over the month

The wage arrears in the republic in August this year increased by 4.5 million somoni ($ 437 thousand).

In early July, the debt, taking into account previous years, amounted to 60.6 million somoni, and in early August it increased to 65.1 million somoni, the Agency on Statistics under the President of the Republic of Tatarstan reports.

The highest indebtedness remains in construction (17.6 million somoni), in the mining sector (14.7 million somoni), and in the manufacturing industry (14.4 million somoni).

The average monthly salary in the republic is 1275 somoni ($ 124 at today's exchange rate).

The minimum wage in the country is 400 somoni.

The highest salaries in the republic are received by employees of financial intermediation and insurance (3726 somoni), information and communication (2610 somoni), builders (2390 somoni), workers in mining (2254 somoni).

Agricultural workers have the lowest wages – 531 somoni.

According to the CIS Interstate Committee, Tajikistan has the lowest wages among the Commonwealth countries.

The average monthly salary in Russia is $ 730, in Belarus – $ 518, in Ukraine – $ 388, in Azerbaijan – $ 370, in Armenia – $ 375, in Kyrgyzstan – $ 239.
