Fund experts believe economic growth will recover in 2021.

Coronavirus pandemic continues to have a dire economic impact on Tajikistan, says the report of the International Monetary Fund, published on October 5 this year.

«Trade and transport problems have severely impacted economic activity and remittances, with the latter declining by about 15%», – note the authors of the report.

Fund economists predict real GDP growth of the republic in 2020 at 1%. They expect the country's economic growth to recover in 2021, reaching 6%.

There is also a deterioration in foreign trade: exports excluding gold decreased by more than 20%.
