Gold bars sold by the National Bank of Tajikistan have risen in price since the beginning of this year by an average of 32.9%.

According to the NBT, the cost of a five-gram bar over this period increased by 31.9%, a ten-gram bar – by 32.8%, a twenty-gram bar – by 33%, a fifty-gram bar – by 33.4%, and a hundred-gram bar – by 33.5%.

The sale and purchase price of measured bars is determined daily and set by the regulator in national currency.

The cost of a gold bar weighing 5 grams for today, October 12, is set at 3350 somoni, 10 grams – 6612 somoni, 20 grams – 13076 somoni, 50 grams – 32446 somoni, 100 grams – 64724 somoni.

The price of the redemption of bullion by the National Bank is set in the amount of: 5 grams – 2479 somoni, 10 grams – 4871, 20 grams – 9596 somoni, 50 grams – 23754 somoni, 100 grams – 47343 somoni.

The cost of gold bars is determined in accordance with the price per troy ounce (31.1034768 grams) of gold following the results of the morning interbank fixing in London. It also calculates the real costs of making gold bullion bars, transport and insurance costs and customs duties.

National Bank of the country has released into free circulation refined gold bullion in June 2017.
