Promoters and top managers of two companies detained for tax evasion

The Tax Committee under the Government of Tajikistan has initiated criminal proceedings against promoters and top managers of two private companies, which are charged with tax evasion.  

Criminal proceedings have reportedly been brought against Saidjamol Ghafforov, the promoter and head of the Kommunikatsiya Servis (Communication Service) Limited Liability Company, Hokimjon Qurbonov, the promoter of Imoratsoz Company (construction company), and Tuichi Atoboyev, CEO of Imoratsoz Company.

Ghafforov, who is currently under the preliminary arrest, is charged with tax evasion in a total amount of 2.158 million somonis (including fine and interest).

Hokimjon Qurbonov and Tuichi Atoboyev are also currently under the preliminary arrest.  Imoratsoz Company reportedly has not paid taxes funds earned from holding state tenders in 2018-2020.  The company is charged with tax evasion in a total amount of 4.056 million somonis (including fine and interest). 

Kommunikatsiya Servis LLC is an official representative of Russia’s Fort Telecom in Tajikistan.  Founded in 2007, Fort Telecom is a leading developer and supplier of fleet management software, hardware, ERA-GLONASS and eCall solutions, both in Russia and internationally.  Today, the company produces a wide range of tracking devices to meet various needs of its customers. Fort Monitor software is regularly updated to ensure effective fleet management.  Another area of its activity is design and production of equipment for the construction of unmanned IP video surveillance networks under TFortis brand.  

Imoratsoz Company has reportedly been engaged in construction of various facilities under the state order.  The company, in particular, built apartment buildings for prosecutors in Dushanbe’s Zarafshon area.
