A number of new industrial facilities are expected to be commissioned in the Farkhor district, Khatlon province before the end of this year, Sputnik Tajikistan reported on August 23, citing Khatlon governor’s office.  

A cotton ginnery, a sewing factory, enterprises on producing vegetable oil,  pasta and toilet paper as well as several trade and service outlets will be commissioned in the district before then end of this year.  

Khatlon governor Qurbon Hakimzoda reportedly get acquainted with the process of construction of the cotton-ginning factory on August 22. 

The factory is being built by a local entrepreneur in Archai village.  Cotton-spinning, soap producing, cooking (cotton) oil producing, sawmilling and cotton blanket producing workshops will be constructed at the factory, which will create twenty new jobs for local residents.  

While in Farkhor, Hakimzoda also sites for construction of enterprises on producing past and toilet paper as well as sewing factory.  

Sputnik Tajikistan says construction of these facilities is finance by local entrepreneurs and one of companies.  They are also planned to be introduced into operation this year. 

More than 330 jubilee facilities are expected to be built in Farkhor by September 2026, when the 35th anniversary of Tajikistan Independence will be celebrated.
