DUSHANBE October 2, Asia-Plus – On Saturday September 30, Independent Trade Unions’ Federation of Tajikistan held its extraordinary congress in Dushanbe.

Murodali Solehov, the Federation head, said that the issue of nomination of candidate to run for November’s presidential election topped the congress’ agenda.  The congress delegates unanimously supported the candidacy of the incumbent president, according to him.  

According to him, an election platform of the Independent Trade Unions’ Federation will be published in the press within the next few days.  “Besides, we hold a meeting in the near future to determine a number of our observers to monitor the electoral process,” Solehov.
