th

anniversary of the establishment of the People’s Republic of China.

Greeting guests, Lee noted that this year was of great importance for bilateral relationships between China and Tajikistan.  He termed joint projects in the fields of energy and road-building as an example of further expansion of bilateral cooperation between the two countries and underlined significance of those projects for development of Tajikistan’s economy.  

“Over the past three years, a trade between our countries has annually doubled and we hope that this year it will have exceeded US$200 million,” Le said, noting that China now is among the top five trade partners of Tajikistan.  

“Our people have many in common,” said the ambassador, “I may assure that China has been and will remain loyal friend and reliable partner of Tajikistan.” 

Deputy Tajik Prime Minister, Khayrinisso Mavlonova, MPs, ministers, senior representatives from public associations and NGOs as well as representatives from diplomatic mission accrediting in Tajikistan and journalists were among the reception guests.
