DUSHANBE, September 15, Asia-Plus – An international two-day conference formally titled “Countering Trafficking in Persons” opened in Dushanbe today.

The conference participants include representatives from president’s executive office, ministries of interior and justice, counternarcotics agency, committees on youth and religious affairs as well as representatives from international organizations active in Tajikistan.  Besides, experts from Russia and Turkey have arrived in Tajikistan to attend this conference. 

According to information from the NGO “Modar”, which staged this conference, the conference is considering issues related to ways to counter human trafficking.  Participants at the conference are exchanging views and experiences in fighting this phenomenon and seeking solution to this problem.
