On Tuesday July 18, President Emomali Rahmon received the personnel who were appointed to the leadership positions in the judicial authorities, regional prosecutor's offices, the defense ministry and the counternarcotics agency, according to the Tajik president’s official website.
The personnel appointed in these fields were reportedly selected from among the qualified specialists of the field, graduates of two or more higher military institutes, who have shown their professional skills, perseverance and loyalty during their service.
At the end of the meeting, President Emomali Rahmon wished success to all the newly appointed personnel in the performance of their official duties and considered service to the people and homeland and protection of the rights and freedoms of every citizen as their primary duties.
By president’s decrees heads of courts in Dushanbe’s Firdavsi district, Roudaki district, Dushanbe city court, as well as first deputy and the deputy head of the court in Vahdat Township, judges of Dushanbe city court and the reginal court of the Gorno-Badakhshan Autonomous Region (GBAO) have reportedly been replaced.
Besides, in an agreement with the President of Tajikistan, chief prosecutors in Ishkashim and Shugnan districts of the GBAO, Khujand City and Buston, Kuhistoni Mastchoh, Devashtich and Asht districts of Sughd province, Bokhtar City and Vakhsh, Temurmalik, Abdurahmoni-Jomi, Shamsiddin-Shohin and Yovon districts of Khatlon province, and Lakhsh district (Rasht Valley in eastern Tajikistan) have been replaced.
Staff changes have reportedly also been introduced to the commands of a number of subunits of the Ministry of Defense and the Drug Control Agency under the President of Tajikistan.
