Over the first six months of this year, Tajikistan has produced a total of 20.711 billion somonis worth of industrial goods , according to the Agency for Statistics under the President of Tajikistan.      

Compared to the same period last year the index of the volume of production of industrial goods has reportedly amounted to 110.3 percent.

The main factor in the growth of total industrial production was the increase in production in the mining industry – 7.3 percent; processing industry – 14.2 percent; electricity supply, gas and steam supply and air conditioning – 13.6 percent.   

Over the reporting period, 3,243 industrial enterprises have reportedly operated in the country.  Of them, 1,011 (31.2 percent of the total number) have operated in Sughd province, 792 (24.4 percent) have operated in Khatlon province, 728 (22.5 percent) have operated in Dushanbe, 691 (19.1 percent) have operated in districts subordinate to the center (RRP), 91 industrial enterprises (2.8) have operated in the Gorno Badakhshan Autonomous Region, or GBAO.
