August 15 marked two years since the Taliban seized power in Afghanistan. During this time, the new Afghan government has not been recognized by any country in the world.

The Taliban have established trade cooperation and are carrying out commercial transactions with some neighboring and developed countries of the world, but Muhammad Zohir Agbar, ambassador of the previous government of Afghanistan in Tajikistan, says that the Taliban remain dangerous for the region and the world.

He spoke about his concerns in an interview with “Asia-Plus”.

“August 15 is a tragic day in the history of Afghanistan and a black day for the oppressed people of my country. On this day, the rights of men and women of Afghanistan were usurped by people who do not respect culture and civilization, race and nationality, history and geography.

Neither earlier nor in these two years has the Taliban been able to win the hearts of the people of Afghanistan and give full legitimacy to the people of this land. Today they are proud to say that they have defeated NATO and the United States, but they demand from the defeated by them the official recognition of their government”, says the ambassador Muhammad Zohir Agbar.

He also added that today the Taliban are creating problems in various spheres. "We can observe the presence of 21 terrorist groups in different parts of Afghanistan, which poses a serious threat to the region and the world. We are witnessing the closure of technical schools and the opening of jihadist madrassas. All this will have serious consequences," the ambassador is sure.

"The Taliban declare that they are the "princes (amiralmuminin) of the world" and are proud of it. I am sure that they will expand their influence. Therefore, it is necessary to break this belief of the Taliban and, first of all, ensure the security of the people of Afghanistan, and then the region and the whole world," said Muhammad Zohir Agbar in an interview with “Asia-Plus”

Two years ago, after the Taliban seized power, banks closed, businesses ran into problems and there was a brain drain. Now the nation of Afghanistan is suffering from the consequences of the activities of previous Governments.

In general, now the political, cultural and social situation of Afghanistan does not need explanations and causes concern.

But still, the ambassador is sure that since the Taliban has not been able to build a comprehensive government in two years, it will not be possible to do it.  And he believes that "the time is not far off when they will leave again and the people of my country will find peace and quiet."
