In Naro-Fominsk in the south-west of the Moscow region, police officers seized about 270 kg of drugs from a foreigner, Interior Ministry spokeswoman Irina Volk said, writes RBC.
RIA Novosti, with reference to the agency, writes that presumably it is heroin. This is also reported by the telegram-channel Mash.
270 kg is the largest batch of this drug, which has recently been seized in Russia.
According to the channel, at first the police found a package with a kilogram of the drug in the back seat of the car of the so-called heroin king, after which they visited his home in Lobanovo village in Istrinsk district.
According to Mash, 214 kg of drugs were packaged in bundles, the rest was stored in bags.
The value of the seized drug on the black market is estimated at least 2.7 billion rubles.
A criminal case has been initiated.
