30 cold weapons were confiscated from minors and youth in Dushanbe in an operation, dubbed “Knife”, which was conducted by police officer in January, according to the Interior Ministry’s website.

This time, 26 knives, two brass knuckles and two bits were confiscated from them.

An explanatory work was carried out with teenagers, in which they were shown the tragic consequences of carrying and using bladed weapons, says the website.

Administrative protocols were reportedly drawn up against the minors’ parents in accordance with Article 90 of the Administrative Code of Tajikistan — failure to fulfill the duties of guardianship, education and upbringing of minors.

Operation "Knife" has been carried out in Dushanbe since 2019 to identify and remove from the population, especially from young people, cold weapons: knives, brass knuckles, stun guns, bits, etc.
