DUSHANBE, March 19, 2009, Asia-Plus  — President Emomali Rahmon today attended a groundbreaking ceremony construction of the railway link connecting Dushanbe with Qurghon Teppa the Vahdat and Yovon districts.

The groundbreaking ceremony for construction of this 125-kilometer railway was held in the village of Buston, Dousti jamoat in the Vahdat district.  

According to the news agency Khovar, the estimated budget for construction of the Vahdat-Yovon railway is 129 million US dollars.
