Starting from September 2, 2024, the services of the "Passport and Visa service" of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia in Dushanbe for Tajik citizens will become paid. For three months, the service at this Center was free of charge.

The Deputy Minister of Labor, Migration and Employment of the country, Shahnoza Nodiri, told AsiaPlus that the cost of the Service's services will be slightly more than 400 somoni.

"For this amount, fingerprinting and verification of permission to enter the territory of Russia will be carried out," Nodiri explained.

According to her, the cost of the Service's services will not increase more than this amount, however, if the number of applicants increases, the price of services may be reduced.

At the same time, Shahnoza Nodiri added that negotiations had previously been held with representatives of the "Passport and Visa Service" of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia regarding the cost, where attention was drawn to the high cost for citizens of Tajikistan. But the answer of the "Passport and Visa Service" regarding the high price is not yet known.

Meanwhile, the Migration Service of the Ministry of Labor, Migration and Employment of the country urged citizens to take advantage of the opportunity and undergo a free check before September 1, 2024.

Recall that the representative office of the "Passport and Visa Service" of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia in Tajikistan was officially opened in Dushanbe at the end of May this year. The opening ceremony was attended by the Ministers of Internal Affairs of Tajikistan Ramazon Rahimzoda and Russia Vladimir Kolokoltsev, Minister of Labor, Migration and Employment of Tajikistan Gulnora Khasanzoda, as well as other officials.

It was reported on the website of the Ministry of Internal Affairs that the main purpose of creating a representative office is to conduct a check before traveling to Russia on the territory of Tajikistan and the opportunity to undergo fingerprint registration within the republic.
