"The parties exchanged views on topical issues of mutual interest and discussed prospects for the development of relations between Tajikistan and the European Union," – the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Tajikistan said in a statement.

The Deputy Foreign Minister congratulated Radoslav Darski on his appointment to this post and wished him success in his diplomatic mission.

Prior to that, he served as Deputy Director of the Eastern Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Warsaw, overseeing Central Asia, the South Caucasus and the Eastern Partnership initiatives.

"His extensive regional experience also includes senior positions at the EU Delegation to Uzbekistan and Georgia, where he led the political and information departments, developing cooperation with EU member states and regional partners," – the statement said.
