The Dushanbe City Hall will provide financial assistance to 5,000 needy residents of the city. The corresponding decree on the eve of the celebration of the 34th anniversary of Tajikistan's state independence was signed by the Mayor of the capital, Rustam Emomali.

Assistance will be provided to participants and invalids of the WWII, persons equated to them, orphans, as well as employees of road institutions in the capital, the press service of the Dushanbe City Hall reports.

The message from the City Hall does not specify the amount of assistance allocated and the total amount of funds allocated for these purposes from the city budget.

Tajikistan will celebrate the 34th anniversary of its independence on September 9.

This year, the main event on the occasion of Tajikistan's Independence Day will be held in Kulyab with the participation of President Emomali Rahmon. Cultural and entertainment events are also planned in various districts and regions of the city of Dushanbe.

In Dushanbe, the main celebrations on the occasion of Tajikistan's Independence Day will take place on the evening of September 9 at "Istiqlol " Square. According to the press service of the Department of Culture, a theatrical performance featuring famous singers and artists will be presented to the guests of the festival.
