Awards were presented in the capital of Tajikistan to the participants of the VIII International Swimming Tournament held from September 1 to 3, dedicated to the 34th anniversary of independence of the republic.

The competition was attended by 8 teams from 6 countries – Tajikistan, Russia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan.

According to the press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Tajikistan, the Russian national team won the team competition with 13 gold, 5 silver and 1 bronze medals. The second place was taken by the national team of Belarus (8-12-9), and the third place was taken by the national team of Kazakhstan (3-4-5).

Among other participants, the national team of Uzbekistan took the 4th place (2-4-8). The Tajikistan-1 national team finished the competition in 5th position with 2 gold, 3 silver and 4 bronze medals. The teams Tajikistan-2 and Tajikistan-3 also took part in the tournament.

The winners were awarded medals, diplomas and memorable gifts.

According to the National Swimming Federation of Tajikistan, the tournament has become an important event for the development of this sport in the country.
