Machinery-assembling plant in Chkalovsk may produce fittings for power plants being built in Tajikistan

            KHUJAND, January 24, Asia-Plus – A machinery-assembling plant in the Tajik northern city of



Chkalovsk


is capable to produce fittings for Sangtuda and Roghun hydropower plants being constructed in the republic as well as for the Tajik Aluminum Plant (TadAZ).

            The plant director Shavkat Bobojonov told Asia-Plus this today morning.  He noted that at present the main contractor to the plants’ output were enterprises in the


Russian Federation


, the Khujand-based joint venture “Kabool Tajik Textiles”, and Adrasman ore refinery.

            In 2005, the plant produced 677,474 Somonis’ worth of output, which is 9.9 percent more than the determined target, according to the Asia-Plus interlocutor.
