DUSHANBE, February 9, Asia-Plus  – Uzbekistan’s joining the Eurasian Economic Community (EAEC) will speed up the creation of the customs union and promote introduction of the single customs tariff, deputy head of the Customs Department within the Ministry of State Revenues and Tax Collections, Ibrohim Mirzoyev, said in his interview with Asia-Plus.

Within joining the Community Uzbekistan will bring its tariffs into compliance with tariffs that are in effect within the area of the Eurasian Economic Community (EAEC) that will promote development of sound competition inside the country and facilitate export/import transactions in the countries of the region, Mirzoyev.     

According to him, it may be expected that in future some 30 percent of goods will be imported to
