DUSHANBE, April 14, Asia-Plus – Tajik President Emomali Rahmonov has pointed out significance of expansion of cooperation between the CIS member nations in the humanitarian sphere.  

Russian news agency RIA Novosti reported the first forum of art and scientific intellectuals of the CIS States opened in Moscow on April 14.  Russian President Vladimir Putin attend the forum and heads of Armenia, Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan and Tajikistan hailed holding of such forum in their messages to the forum participants.   

President Rahmonov notes in his message to the forum that the CIS states are historically bound up with indissoluble ties and humanitarian cooperation offers a breakthrough potential.   

 We will recall that Tajik delegation attending the forum consists of known Tajik artistes, writers, poets and researchers and is led by Karomatullo Olimov, State Adviser to the Tajik President for Social Matters.   .

A two-day conference is aiming to consider issues related to expansion cooperation between the CIS states in the sphere of science, education and culture.

On Friday April 14, Russian President Vladimir Putin addressing the forum noted, that putting together concrete advantages in the spheres of science, education and culture would be of tangible use to absolutely all, and for this reason renewed cooperation in the humanitarian sphere could become one of breakthrough ‘projects’ of the CIS, according to Itar-Tass.  “Such projects can give a new impulse to all integration processes, prompt universal interaction models adequate to times,” Putin was quoted as saying.
