DUSHANBE, November 11, 2010, Asia-Plus  — President Emomali Rahmon is receiving visiting Indian Army Chief Vijay Kumar Singh today.

According to the presidential press service, the sides are expected to discuss military-technical cooperation between the two countries, training of personnel for Tajik national army at Indian military schools as well as cooperation between Tajikistan and India in countering international terrorism.

Emomali Rahmon and V.K. Singh will also discuss issues related to regional security and the current situation in Afghanistan.

We will recall that yesterday, Army chief of India held talks with Tajik Defense Minister Sherali Khairulloyev and visited Tajik Military Institute, hospital and one of training grounds of Tajik Ministry of Defense.
