DUSHANBE, November 2, 2010, Asia-Plus  — On Monday November 1, Tajik Finance Minister Safarali Najmiddinov met with visiting Undersecretary of the Ministry of Foreign of Affairs of Saudi Arabia, H.R.H. Prince Ambassador/ Khaled bin Saud bin Khaled, according to the Finance Ministry press service.

In the course of the talks, the sides exchanged views on state and prospects of further expansion of bilateral economic cooperation between Tajikistan and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.  They, in particular, discussed mutually beneficial cooperation in building highways and railroads and hydropower facilities as well as launching joint ventures in Tajikistan.

Safarali Najmiddinov and H.R.H. Prince Khaled bin Saud bin Khaled also considered issues related to attraction of direct Arab investments for development of Tajikistan’s economy and signing of an agreement on avoidance of double taxation on income.

Tajik minister expressed gratitude to the guest for support and understanding and noted that further expansion and strengthening of friendly relations with Saudi Arabia would promote development of Tajikistan’s economy.
