DUSHANBE, September 20, 2010, Asia-Plus — I was shocked to hear about an attack on government forces in Rasht district that had left 23 killed, a statement released by known Tajik religious leader Hoji Akbar Turajonzoda on Monday said.
“…Dear fellow-countrymen! Our country needs peace and tranquility. Let us take efforts not to miss peace and unity. I, as person who has gone through all hardships of civil war and wandering, condemns all crimes that lead to human. I condemn this attack.
I pray for God’s protection of our country from perturbation and intrigues. I ask God for peace and tranquility for us. I express my deep condolences to families and friends of those killed in that attack.”
