KHOROG, August 13, 2010, Asia-Plus – Traffic on highway Dushanbe-Khorog through Khobu Rabot pass has resumed again.
A month ago, in connection with carrying out of a repair-and-renewal works of automobile bridge in a place of Dashti Sher of Tavildara district, traffic on a trace of Dushanbe-Khorog has been stopped. Earth-based communication between Khorog and Dushanbe was carried out all this time through a highway of Dushanbe – Kulyab – Darvoz.
As the chief of state manufacturing enterprise “Badakhshonroh” Shamsmuhammad Nazriev has informed «AP», repair-and-renewal works of the automobile bridge in a place of Dashti Sher has been finished a day before and movement on given trace is again renewed.
According to interlocutor, repair-and-renewal works of bridge have been fulfilled at expense of means allocated by the Ministry of transport and communications of RТ.
Now the current bridge is completely restored and trucks can even pass through it. It is necessary to notice that the current route on a highway of Dushanbe-Khorog on 86 kilometers is shorter than a highway Dushanbe – Kulyab – Darvoz.
