QURGHON TEPPA, July 2, 2010, Asia-Plus – The Khatlon regional prosecutor’s office has instituted criminal proceedings against the former head of the land committee in Bokhtar district and his two accomplices, Asia-Plus has learned from Varqa Zayniddinov, a senior aide to the Khatlon prosecutor.

According to him, the ex-head of the Bokhtar land committee Rajabali Hurmatov, specialist from this committee Ikrom Nasrulloyev and the jamoat head Oryon Kholiqov face charges of abuse of authority, misuse of powers, and document forgery.

“From October 2008 to December 2009, Hurmatov in collusion with Nasrulloyev and Kholiqov illegally allotted 6.3 hectares in the Murod Boqi Farm to several residents of the district for housing,” the prosecutor said.
