DUSHANBE, February 16, 2009, Asia-Plus — A new general school was opened in the Tugul jamoat, Khatlon’s Panj district on February 13.

According to Noilsho Nouraliyev, a spokesman for the ministry of education (MoE), the school was built due to funds provided by the Saudi Fund for Development and the Government of Tajikistan.  A total cost of the school is 1.5 million somoni.

The school-opening ceremony was attended by Education Minister Abdujabbor Rahmonov, the head of the Education and Science Department within President’s Executive Office Homidullo Faqirov and senior regional administrators of the Khatlon province.
