DUSHANBE, February 27, 2010, Asia-Plus  — New uniforms manufactured by China’s Li Ning for Dushanbe’s football club, Istiqlol, was presented in the Tajik capital on February 26.

Murod Umarov, director of the limited liability company, Inter-Sport, which is an exclusive distributor of Li Ning’s products in Tajikistan, said that their goal was to make contribution to development of sports and healthy lifestyle in Tajikistan.

Li Ning has become an official sponsor of Istiqlol.  Asked why football and why Istiqlol, Mr. Umarov noted, “Istiqlol is the only team in Dushanbe, which is very popular not only among youth of the capital city, it also has many fans throughout the whole country.”

We will recall that Li Ning is also the official sponsor of Tajikistan’s Tennis Federation.  The company has manufactured new uniforms for the Tajik national tennis team.

Besides, shops for selling Li Ning products are expected to be opened in Dushanbe and Khujand in the near future.
