More than 3 mln somoni and more than US$10,700 transferred to Roghun’s bank accounts so far

DUSHANBE, December 21, 2009, Asia-Plus  — Funds are continuing to come to bank accounts opened to help construction of the Roghun hydroelectric power plant (HPP).

According to the Ministry of Finance (MoF), the bank account for receiving funds in the national currency, the somoni, has been opened at the MoF Board of Treasury and bank accounts for receiving funds in dollars and Russian rubles have been opened at Amonatbonk (Tajikistan’s savings bank).

The source at Amonatbonk told Asia-Plus Monday afternoon that more than 3 million somoni and more than 10.700 U.S. dollars have been transferred to Roghun’s bank accounts so far.
