The operating hours of shopping and service centers in Dushanbe have been updated. Owners of shopping and service centers must coordinate their operating hours with the mayor’s office. This was reported on April 16 by the Dushanbe City Police Department.
The decision of the Dushanbe mayor “On the establishment and coordination of the operating hours of organizations and trade and service facilities” was approved on April 14.
According to it, owners of shopping and service centers, “regardless of ownership and subordination, are required to align their operating hours with the established order.”
The Dushanbe police noted that entrepreneurs can contact the commission created at the mayor’s office to submit the necessary documents and officially coordinate their operating hours.
“In order to protect the rights and interests of consumers and prevent public disorder, the operating hours of shopping and service centers will be regularly checked by the city police,” emphasized the Dushanbe Police Department.
Below is the new order of operation for shopping and service centers:

It is worth noting that in August 2020, a decision was made by Rustam Emomali, the mayor of Dushanbe, regarding the procedure for establishing the operating hours of shopping and service centers within the capital.
According to this decision, the operating hours of all organizations and trade and service facilities in the capital are established and coordinated by the Dushanbe mayor’s commission. In turn, the city police are obliged to monitor the implementation of this decision and take measures to prevent public disorder.
It should be noted that residents of the capital often complain about the operation of entertainment centers and computer clubs, claiming that they do not adhere to the established schedule, which disrupts public peace.
In response to these complaints, in October 2025, the police conducted a raid during which protocols were drawn up against 17 entertainment centers.
