KHUJAND, November 4, 2009 Asia-Plus — 33 private clinics and medical rooms now function in the Sughd province, Ikrom Ismoilov, the head of the Sughd center for medical activity supervision, said in an interview with Asia-Plus.
“The majority of them are dental surgeries,” said Ismoilov, “There are 16 private dental surgeries in the province; they are followed by private rooms for ultrasound examination. There are also many private surgeries and gynecological rooms.”
According to him, competition makes private medical rooms and clinics improve quality of services they render to the population.
