DUSHANBE, November 3, 2009, Asia-Plus  — 1,000 medical workers, including physicians and nurses, will work in Saudi Arabia starting from 2010, according to the Ministry of Health (MoH).

The source at a MoH said that an appropriate agreement on that subject was signed between Tajikistan and Saudi Arabia in Dushanbe at the end last of last week.

The document was inked by senior representatives from the MoH and the Interior Ministry migration service on behalf of Tajikistan and by Mr. Saad Al-Baddah, the head of the National Commission for Recruitment (NCR) at the Council of Saudi Chambers of Commerce and Industry, on behalf of Saudi Arabia.

Medical workers selected for working in Saudi Arabia will take training courses on Arabic and English, the source added.

We will recall that senior representatives from the Interior Ministry migration service met here on October 29 with Saudi delegation, led by Saad Al-Baddah, the head of the National Commission for Recruitment (NCR) at the Riyadh-based Council of Saudi Chambers of Commerce and Industry, to discuss issues related to development of efficient mechanisms of recruiting labor migrants from Tajikistan to Saudi Arabia.
