DUSHANBE, October 21, 2009, Asia-Plus  — Eight garbage trucks and a consignment of special containers for public utilities have been delivered to Dushanbe from Russia, Shavkat Saidov, a spokesman for the Dushanbe mayor’s office, told Asia-Plus today.

The garbage trucks and special containers have been manufactured at the Mtsen plant for production of municipal vehicles in the Russian Federation.  This plant won a tender for municipal vehicles that was announced by the Dushanbe mayor’s office last May.

Under an agreement between the Dushanbe mayor’s office and the Mtsen plant, another 40 garbage trucks and 22 special containers for a total amount of more than 11.532 million somoni will be delivered to the Tajik capital this month, the spokesman said.
