KHUJAND, October 13, 2009, Asia-Plus  — Sughd prosecutors have instituted 12 criminal proceedings against 13 local law enforcement officers since the beginning of this year, which is 3 cases more than in the same period of last year, according to the Sughd regional prosecutor’s office.

“Eleven cases have already moved to local courts,” the source said, noting that among those against whom criminal proceedings were instituted are four police officers, five recruitment and one drug control officer.
