DUSHANBE, October 12, 2009, Asia-Plus — The next session of the council of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) heads of government will be held in Beijing on October 14, China’s Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Jiang Yu said last week, according to Kazakhstan Today.
According to her, at the invitation of Premier Wen Jiabao of the State Council, heads of governments or representatives of Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Russia, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, the SCO Observers and relevant countries in the region will attend the meeting.
“They will have an in-depth exchange of views on the implementation of the Yekaterinburg Summit consensus, tackling the international financial crisis, and deepening regional economic and cultural cooperation and etc,” the spokeswoman said.
