DUSHANBE, October 8, Asia-Plus  — A number of new enterprises for producing building materials have been launched in Tajikistan.

Tojinisso Azizova, a spokeswoman for the Ministry of Energy and Industries, told Asia-Plus that limited liability company, Uspekh (Success), launched a cement plant with capacity of 120 tons per day in the southern city of Sarband in late September.  Some 120 people now work with the plant.

In parallel, Uspekh also launched a brickworks with capacity of 8 million to 10 million bricks per year in Sarband.  More than 35 people now work with the brickworks.

Another brickworks with capacity of up to 18 million bricks per year was established in Khatlon’s Rumi district.  The enterprise was launched by limited liability company, Muayman, and 35 people now work with the enterprise.

Besides, limited liability company, Mavji Bahor, launched a small brickworks with capacity of 10,000 bricks per year in the Hissar district.  Some 90 people now work with the enterprise, the spokesman said.
