DUSHANBE, October 5, 2009, Asia-Plus  — The 19th session of the Dushanbe city legislature (Majlis) will be held on October 15.

Shavkat Saidov, a spokesman for the Dushanbe mayor’s office, says the Deputy Dushanbe Mayor, Mansour Sayfiyev, will report on the process of implementation of the Dushanbe population employment project designed for 2008-2009 and implementation of the poverty reduction strategy in the city.

Besides, Deputy Mayor, Ms. Sanovbar Rahimova, will report on implementation of the education development program for 2006-2010 and tasks of the mayor’s office and the city public in connection with declaring the year of 2010 Year of Education and Technical Culture in Tajikistan.

The session will also confirm resolutions passed by the Dushanbe mayor after the previous legislature’s session, the spokesman said.
