DUSHANBE, October 2, 2009, Asia-Plus  — Lack of knowledge in Communication and Public Relations is often a stumbling block in the process of organization”s image formation and strengthening and a three-days training on “Basics of Public relations”, organized with the financial support of the European Union helped the PR-managers, press-secretaries and PR-experts from leading business structures and associations of Tajikistan to improve their professional skills, press release issued by the Delegation of the European Commission in Tajikistan today said.

From September 30 to October 2 2009 the course attendants have gained knowledge on the PR basics, drafting the press-releases, arranging their own PR-services and conducting information campaigns.

The training course was led by Mr. Farrukh Ahrorov, the Chairman of Journalists” Public Association “Media Group & Mercy”, using the modern techniques of teaching the adult auditorium and having trained a number of successful PR – experts.

According to the concept of the organizers such courses contribute to the upgrade of the professionalism among the business-associations of Tajikistan, provide them the specific skills to work with the entrepreneurs and mass media, as well as facilitate the enhancement and effective application of media techniques and basics of marketing in order to promote the intermediate services in business.

Training was prepared by the National Association of Small and Medium Business of the Republic of Tajikistan within the frameworks of the project “Raising the professionalism and public outreach of Tajik Business Intermediary Organizations” and conducted in the conference hall of the Business Environment Improvement project (USAID). The project is implemented by Internews Europe and is part of the EU funded Central Asia Invest Program (with the total budget of around EUR   400 000, 85% being EU contribution).
