KHUJAND, September 23, 2009, Asia-Plus  — More than 10 enterprises from Russia and Belarus are participating at a job fair that has opened in Khujand today morning.

According to Ismoilkhon Davlatov, the chief of the labor migration within the Interior Ministry migration service, similar job fair had earlier been held in the Khatlon province.  “In Sughd, the job fair with participation of companies from other CIS states is being held for the first time,” said Davlatov, “After Khujand, similar fairs will be held in Istaravshan, Konibodom and Asht districts as well.”

He noted that Tajik employment firms that had concluded agreements with Russian and Belarusian employers have offered jobs on behalf of them at the fair in Khujand.  “These five organizations, including one state-run company, have offered more than 1,000 jobs at more than 10 enterprises in Russia and Belarus,” said Davlatov, “Kazan (Russia’s Tatarstan republic) alone has offered jobs to 510 vets, livestock experts, medical assistants, tractor drivers and shepherds.”
