KHOROG, September 16, 2009 Asia-Plus  — The bodies of two border guards with bullet wounds have been found at the Afghan border in Gorno Badakhshan,

The Khorog military prosecutor Farmon Sharipov says two servicemen of border unit 2848, Khusrav Sharipov and Nemat Nematov, were probably killed Monday (September 14) evening while on a routine border patrol near the village of Shidz in the Rushan district.  “The third serviceman, who was also on border patrol with them, Jahongir Azatshoyev, is reported missing,” said the prosecutor, “”Criminal proceedings have been instituted and an investigation is under way.”
