DUSHANBE, September 15, 2009, Asia-Plus  — Two persons were killed and at least five others were injured on Monday as two vehicles collided in Kulob, according to the Tajik traffic police directorate.

The accident took place on the highway from Kulob to Danghara.  A car VAZ 21-06 went into oncoming traffic and collided with minivan.  As a result of the collision, the driver of VAZ 21-06 and his passengers died on the spot while the driver of minivan and four his passengers, including the six-year-old child, received various injuries and were taken to the central district hospital, the source said.
