US Special Envoy for Eurasian Energy Richard Morningstar will pay a working visit to Kazakhstan on August, 25-26; Official Representative for the Kazakh MFA Yerzhan Ashikbayev has said at the briefing in the Ministry.

R. Morningstar is expected to meet with official bodies of the country and with the head of Kazmunaigaz National Company. The issues of further development of cooperation between Kazakhstan and the US in energy, oil and gas transportation as well as development of alternative energy sources will be on the agenda of the meeting.

Another visit on energy development is expected to take place on August 27-28. UN Secretary General”s Special Envoy, Head of the UN Central Asian Center for Preventive Diplomacy, Miroslav Yench will arrive in Kazakhstan to discuss the issues on water-energy, fight against terrorism and extremism, development of situation in Central Asia, Kazakhstan”s chairmanship in OSCE as well as cooperation between Kazakhstan and the Regional Security Center.
